WINERY INFORMATION

Accomplished vigneron Geoff Hardy started his winemaking career at Thomas Hardy & Sons. After completing his diploma in wine production and working for his family wine business for some years, Geoff acquired the Pertaringa vineyard in McLaren Vale. There, he laid down the foundation of Geoff Hardy Wines in 1980. The Geoff Hardy wine label represents the 160-year-old winemaking tradition of the Hardy family.

TASTING NOTES  

This dazzling Pertaringa Lakeside Shiraz features a dense and inky hue. The attractive bouquet exhibits mesmerising aromas of boysenberries, plums and red cherries, with spicy hints lurking in the background. The youthful palate contains flavours of sour cherries, plums and apricots, balanced by fine tannins. These wonderful elements fuse together to end the wine in a structured and captivating finish. This enticing Shiraz from Geoff Hardy has been crafted for immediate consumption, but can also be cellared for 8 years from vintage. It tastes excellent with a summer barbeque, or beef stew.

TASTING NOTES  

Pertaringa Lakeside Cabernet Sauvignon displays a deep garnet colour. A whiff of the wine reveals complex aromas of cassis, plums and blackberries, accompanied by light suggestions of violet. The soft and lively palate packs chocolate mint and black fruit flavours, supported by fine tannins. This mouth watering Cab Sauv ends in a captivating finish. With the potential to be cellared for 8 years, this delicious red wine can also be enjoyed fresh upon release. It tastes great with spit-roasted lamb, mini buffalo slider, and Cheddar cheese. .
