Our Modus Operandi Beer Range

Modus Operandi Range:

Always dreaming but finally formalising the concept in 2012, it all started in a motor home traveling around the U S of A, blaring Creedence and delving deeper into the craft revolution. We discovered every nook and cranny of the USA craft beer world for six months, brewing, talking, cleaning, talking, cleaning, brewing, and yes, drinking a lot of beer (tough I know).

We returned home to our beloved Northern Beaches with heads full of beer lovin and inspired to brew the best beer in Australia. We are larrikins at heart, but when it comes to our Modus Operandi (Latin for Method of Operation) which put simply is, beer first, no shortcuts, this is where we get real. Our beer is always brewed with fresh, live yeast flown in from the USA and the finest specialty malts and hops sourced from all over the globe. Every drop of Modus Operandi beer is brewed and packaged in our Mona Vale brewery. Every single Modus Operandi can and keg is permanently kept cold and always display a packaged-on date. This means you know you’re drinking fresh, local beer. These methods of operation may cost more but, we think, the proof is in the brew.

Modus Operandi Kite Flyer ALE

LAGER LIKE IN CHARACTER, THIS AMERICAN STYLE COMMON BEER WITH A FRESH AND SLIGHTLY SWEET MALT FLAVOUR, FOLLOWED UP WITH A HINT OF SPICY HOPS, MAKES THIS BEER A LIGHT AND REFRESHING GO TO ALL YEAR ROUND. 4.8% ABV

Modus Operandi Sonic Prayer IPA

A PSYCHEDELIC CONGLOMERATION OF THE HOLIEST OF INGREDIENTS INCLUDING ADDITIONS OF MIND-ALTERING AMOUNTS OF NEW WORLD HOPS; RESULTING IN AROMATIC REVERBERATIONS OF CITRUS, PEACH, PASSIONFRUIT AND PINE. ALL FOLLOWED BY AN UNSTINTING MALT BODY AND BITTERNESS.  6% ABV        

 Modus Operandi Session IPA

A TONGUE PUNCHING HOP WALLOP DELIVERED COURTESY OF OUR FRIENDS SIMCOE, CITRA AND CHINOOK. FULL IPA FLAVOUR AT HALF THE GUILT SO WAISTLINES AND DRIVER'S LICENSES ARE MAINTAINED. CITRUS AND MELON DOMINATE THE NOSE AND FLAVOUR AND IT FINISHES DRY WITH A BOLD BITTERNESS. 4.1% ABV  

Modus Operandi PALE ALE

A RICH GOLDEN COLOURED PALE ALE, DRY HOPPED WITH YAKIMA VALLEY'S (WASHINGTON STATE) FAVOURITE HEAVY HITTING HOP, SIMCOE. THIS HOP BRINGS WITH IT BIG AROMATICS OF PINE & CITRUS FOLLOWED BY A CRISP FINISH. 5.2% ABV    

 Modus Operandi FORMER TENANT RED IPA

CHAMPION AUSTRALIAN CRAFT BEER IN 2014, THIS BEER IS BURSTING WITH AROMAS OF PASSION FRUIT AND MANGO DUE TO A HEAVY HAND ON THE MOSAIC AND GALAXY DRY HOPS, THIS RUBY RED IPA HAS A COMPLEX BLEND OF CITRUSY HOPS AND SAVOURY CARAMEL MALT FLAVOUR FOLLOWED BY A SLIGHTLY SWEET FINISH. 7.8% ABV  

Modus Operandi Silent Knight PORTER

AROMAS OF RICH CHOCOLATE AND ROAST IN THE NOSE, WE BREWED OUR PORTER WITH THE IDEA OF A SESSION VERSION OF A RUSSIAN IMPERIAL STOUT IN MIND. A COMPLEX BLEND OF 9 TYPES OF MALT FORM A BLEND OF CHOCOLATE, ROAST AND CARAMEL FLAVOUR WHILE STILL FINISHING ON THE LIGHT AND DRY SIDE. 5.6% ABV
