THE WINE

The Mark Winterbottom limited edition Shiraz is a classic cool climate wine, displaying the elements of spiced raspberries,blackberries and white pepper. Well balanced acidity and soft rolling tannins, not only ensure that this wine can be enjoyed now with decanting, but will benefit from 5-7 years in the cellar.

Story Of The Race

Victory doesn't taste much sweeter then this. Mark Winterbottom not only won the biggest motor race in Australia, he did it after an intense duel with his arch-rival Jamie Whincup and was the first win for the race team. Partnering Steven Richards Winterbottom led home Whincup & Drumbrell, leaving Lowndes & Luff to Claim third. Winterbottom & Whincup were bumper to bumper for more than 60 laps rarely separated by more than a second. The winning race time of 6hrs:11mins:27.9secs was a new record for the Bathurst 1000 events.
