Allegiance Unity Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2018

Made from a small premium parcel of hand-picked MV6 clone Pinot Noir which was bunch sorted on the vine during harvest. Open fermenter started naturally finished with selected yeast strain. 22 days on skins, including 5 days soaking prior to fermentation then 10 days fermentation, then a week postfermentation maceration. Settled for 5 days then racked to barrel for 7 months in 15% new French oak. Single varietal, barrel selected and blended after maturation

95 points (5 Stars) – Sam Kim, Wine Orbit  Sweetly fruited and exquisitely composed, this charming pinot shows dark plum, raspberry, violet, mixed spice and almond characters on the nose with nuances of dried herb and game. The palate is concentrated and elegant at the same time, offering excellent fruit purity together with seductive complexity, leading to a persistent silky finish. At its best: 2020 to 2026.
