Wine begins with grapes and the best wines begin with the best grapes. It takes people like the Zerella family to grow the best grapes. And it takes someone like Mike Farmilo, a true master of winemaking and blending to ensure that the final product is worthy of the grapes that went into it.

Mike was a senior red winemaker at Penfolds for many years before he made his home in McLaren Vale in 1997. And Vito was the mastermind behind the resurrection of Tatachilla in the early 1990`s.
